E and I stopped out at EBF on a blustery first day of June. Windy though it was everywhere else, the tall spruce wind break was doing its job, and the farmsite was a lovely sheltered relief.

EBF staff is busy running school programs. We’re hoping to get in on the action next week and learn about nests and water bugs and the best way to build a birdhouse.

For this week, however, we just tried to stay out of the way and quietly admired the multiplying and intensifying spring colours and smells.
